About Me

Hi :)!

I am Bri, a 21 year old sinner, saved by the precious grace of God! I am the oldest child in a wonderful family of 12, with four younger sisters, and 5 little brothers :)! We also have four precious little siblings already praising the Lord before his throne <3. My parents have homeschooled us all from preschool up, and I graduated in May of 2016 :)! My time now is filled with helping out around the house, running a small business, blogging and volunteering with special needs ministries.

I opened up an Etsy shop in 2015, Under the Tapesty, which you can visit here at https://www.etsy.com/shop/UnderTheTapestry. I love crafting -sewing, crocheting, knitting, tatting, quilling, pretty much anything- so this is a fun way to use my crafting constructively :). I have also enjoyed using these hobbies to help raise money for the cost of adopting special needs children on several occasions. I have a passion for both adoption and for those that the world considers "the least of these", so these opportunities blessed me :).

Some of my favorite things include bible study with coffee; early morning quietly reading before my family gets up, and late nights laughing at things, that only we could ever get, with my family; rainy days spent with a book or a project, and sunny days getting random things accomplished; snuggling little ones and talking for hours; And the small moments. A baby holding your finger. A coffee cup in your hand, and a book in your lap. Sunlight shining through the windows, and hearing that something you forced yourself to do even though you had doubts was just what someone needed during a tough time. Heart emoticons -which are pretty much the hug of the internet world. Tender smiles and quiet acknowledgements, with a hug that says the words that can't be found at that moment. Taking walks in the fall. Little ones loving to see you. Memories that are laughed at for years. Little things that remind you of people you love. And so much else!!! I love music and singing, though I'll admit I'm not the best at either, and my sister and I enjoyed being a part of our church choir for a little over a year before we moved "back home". And I love spending time and making memories with loved ones! I have many faults, and I don't want to hide that fact. I simply praise God that "he who began a good work in [me] will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

I love writing, and my prayer is that this blog, though a place to enjoy that, would first and foremost be a place to give glory to my Redeemer. If anything you read here is a blessing to you, may God get the glory!

Rejoicing in Hope,

Bri :)

  2. Hello Bri, I come. Your way by way of Maddy and the hairpin give away. Thank you so much for being a young woman after Gods heart and sharing that with others. Your Hairpins look lovely. I look forward to visiting you etsy shop. I also love all kinds of crafts and have been a crocheter since childhood being taught by my grandmother and mother. I am also very glad to say I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. Thank you and God bless

    1. This comment brought a smile to my heart <3. Thank you for your kind encouraging words... it truthfully means a lot to me, especially right now. Crocheting is one of my favorite craft medium, although I have to pace myself or I injure my wrist, but I have a special connection to tatting just because my Great-great-grandma also tatted, and that is sweet to me... so I love when the crafts people do are connected to their family in some way :).
Thank you for allowing the Lord to encourage me through you today <3.
      Blessings,
      Bri

    2. Yep - we do share initials, however! I was wondering, but oh well. :D

Amen, it does! I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Oh my word, really??! That's so fun! I'll have to live up to it then, I guess. :)

Yes, girl!!! I'm easy to please though, no pressure to be "extra" since you were #25, haha!

    4. Oh my goodness, that is such a beautiful name!! What's the meaning, and how did your parents come up with it?

Well, that's probably good. I feel so special! ;)

    5. Thank you so much, dear! My Mama heard it as a little girl and decided right then she'd name a little girl Ambrielle someday, haha :). It's so rare it's like three per generation on average or something! The meaning is up in the air, as well, since it's so little known, but it's something like "precious jewel", depending on who you ask :).

      Love, Bri :)
